The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade is proposing to extend fertilizer export quotas from January 1 to May 31, 2023. This is reported in the draft resolution published on the regulatory regulatory portal.
According to the document, non-tariff quotas for the export of nitrogen fertilizers outside the EAEU will be 7 million tons, complex fertilizers from various elements – 4.9 million, carbamide export quota will be 4.6 million tons , NPK fertilizers – 2.7 million tons, ammonium nitrate – 1, 16 million tons, carbamide-ammonia mixture – 1.25 million tons, MAP – 1.74 million tons, sulfoammophos – 0.48 million tons.
The Russian government has been imposing quotas on exports of nitrogen and complex fertilizers since 1 December 2021 as a measure to control food prices. Currently valid until the end of 2022.
