Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on his Telegram channel that the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has issued 370 billion UAH, which corresponds to about 10 billion dollars, since February 24.

At the same time, the parliamentarian stated that the ministry plans to print another 809 million dollars – 30 billion hryvnia – in Ukrainian currency by the end of the year. Thus, the issuance amount for the whole year will reach UAH 400 billion. This indicator is provided by the country’s budget for the current year.

Now the regulator has bought bonds or printed 15 billion hryvnia ($404 million at the exchange rate), as Zheleznyak wrote. Prior to that, on November 14, he exported the hryvnia for more than $ 400 million.

The Ukrainian government spends cash flow to cover the state budget deficit and finance military and social programs. In addition, additional funds are needed to meet public debt obligations.
