Gazprom’s chairman, Alexei Miller, said on a New Year’s conference call that production at some of Gazprom’s sites will continue until 2141, and perhaps even beyond.
Gazprom chairman of the board also noted that the 18-year reserve replenishment rate of the mining enterprise exceeded “one”. This indicates that the company has effectively increased its resource base and developed new deposits. In this regard, Miller recalled the high-quality work of the geological exploration unit.
The head of Gazprom assured consumers that energy supplies will be available to them for decades to come, as the fields will produce gas for many more years. Some will run up to 2141, others longer.
