Annual inflation rate in Russia in the week of January 17 – January 23, 2023 decreased to 11.49% from 11.57% a week ago. Such data are given in the review of the current price situation, prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The limiting factor for the price increase was the decrease in the rate of price increase in the non-food products segment. The ministry noted that this was mainly due to the renewed decline in prices of electrical and household appliances.
In food products, price increases accelerated with the increase in the value of both fruit-vegetables and other food products. As can be seen from the document, inflation in the services sector has intensified again mainly due to the increase in the prices of tourism services (air tickets and sanatorium services).
