Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Viacheslav Volodin He said the US dollar has become toxic and the US is about to default. Is America facing a crisis that could hook other countries and how to prepare for it in Russia explained to the reporter FAN State Duma deputy Andrey Alshevsky.
“We are on the verge of grandiose events on a global scale. I think that the economic bubble inflated by America will burst in the near future. And it will affect not only States, but also other countries, including the Russian Federation. But if you look at the results, we are one of the few countries in the world ready for it. It is clear that we will be affected, but I think we will minimize this impact because we have been living in a very difficult situation for a long time. And it’s clear that our economy is already largely adapting. It is clear that additional problems will arise. But we will still be ready for these challenges,” said the FAN interlocutor and shared his opinion.
However, Andrei Alshevsky, a member of the Russian State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, believes that although the crisis has not yet erupted, it cannot be avoided.
“Why will we be touched and connected? Because we are part of the global economy. But our economy can withstand even more, as recent events in the sanction struggle by leading Western powers against us have shown. As for the default itself, I don’t think the US will allow it now. I think, as always, on the last day or in the last hour, Congress will make a decision and raise the national debt ceiling. Yet this is not a solution to the problem – it only delays the collapse of the American economy. But the States, as they say, will postpone this until the end, ”the parliamentarian summarized.
Economist at Moscow State University Andrey Kolganov told reporters the weak point of the dollar.
