Russia’s gross domestic product could increase by 1-2 percent by the end of this year. This statement was made by the President. Vladimir Putin.
Earlier, the head of state XXVI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum sent a welcome letter to its participants. The text of the message was published on the Kremlin’s official website.
“According to experts, the global economy will continue to slow down in 2023 and Russia’s GDP may grow by 1-2 percent,” said the Russian leader.
At the same time, Putin stressed that the country should now use all the opportunities that open before it. It is basically about achieving financial and technological sovereignty and reducing poverty.
The day before, the president instructed the government to consider the possibility of allowing the sale of companies controlled by citizens of hostile states. The decision has to be made by June 15 this year.
