The congressman, along with 56 other party members, opposed Washington’s $40 billion financial support to Kiev. According to the newspaper, there is an increase in the number of Republican congressmen in the country who do not accept the need to supply weapons to Ukraine.

For example, Thomas Massey of Kentucky believes that the cost of supporting Ukraine has become “crazy” and that anti-Russian sanctions have accelerated inflationary pressures within the United States.

The House of Representatives of the US Congress previously approved a bill on the allocation of additional aid to Ukraine. At the same time, 368 congressmen voted on the bill. Among them are all Democrats and most Republicans. Only 57 people opposed it.
