Some of us learned a lot about ourselves in the company of a psychologist, some became stronger in various situations, some discovered new skills and talents in ourselves, but at the time of launching our own beauty brand, like Brad Pitt however, we did not get there.
A few hours ago, the actor-director, in an interview with British Vogue, announced his new business venture into the beauty world – launching his own genderless skincare line called Le Domaine skin care.
Among other things, Brad Pitt talked about his own skincare routine, as well as which of his famous exes influenced his skincare, which was the inspiration for his brand. Who said talking about celebrity beauty branding is boring?
Le Domaine Skincare: Brad Pitt’s New Skin Care Line
“I love what Gwyneth (Paltrow) did with Goop”, he says in an interview with the magazine and continues: “She is still a very, very dear friend, and she built this empire. She always had it, she was very caring, and it was a great creative outlet for her. In fact, when you think about it, she was probably the first one to make me wash my face twice a day, maybe.”
Gwyneth Paltrow, however, was not the only “ex” to be part of the history of Pitt’s new beauty venture, Le Domaine. The grape-based antioxidant ingredients found in her product formulations come from Chateau Miraval, a winery he acquired in 2008 with Angelina Jolie. and is now at the center of a complex lawsuit. Of course, he did not touch on a specific issue, but limited himself to commenting on the lack of quality products on the market.
“I know that almost every day (on the market) there are new products that people try to launch, but if I didn’t see a real visual difference in my skin, we wouldn’t launch the brand,” she says. continues: “They send me stuff over and over and… ugh. They all look the same to me. But this year we tried Le Domaine and I was very surprised by the results and that’s what made me think it’s worth continuing.“.
As for his beauty routine, he himself admitted that Here is a simple skin care routine: Face wash in the morning, serum and quick application of day cream. At night, he follows much the same routine: face wash, serum, and some night cream.
And while Gwyneth Paltrow may have been the one who convinced him to better wash his face twice a day, he did mention that his 30-year-old makeup artist and “special” friend Jean Ann Black was the one who helped him stick to the routine. And the habits of the former have their limits.
Of course, he did not hesitate to answer the question of how much pressure he personally feels on the topic of aging in the film industry.
“I don’t want to avoid aging. It’s a concept we can’t run away from and I wish our culture would embrace it a little more by talking about it in those terms. Something we discussed (since the founding of Le Domaine) was the name “anti-aging”. That’s funny. This is a fairytale. But what’s real is taking care of your skin in a healthy way. And that’s what I’ve learned to do for myself that makes you feel better. I think we are learning that if we love ourselves, if we treat ourselves a little better, then it will bring long-term benefits. So we just age in a healthy way, age in a healthy way.“.
