Prince Harry, the lead plaintiff against the publishing group, claims that at least 147 publications from 1996 to 2010 detailing his personal life could have been based on intercepted communications alone.. A 55 page account of all the private moments that no one but his family knew about and they saw on the front pages of British tabloids for years.

“This article, which appeared on the front page of the Daily Mirror as “exclusive” and continued on page 4, stated that “I have contracted (glandular fever).”. The article said doctors had confirmed the diagnosis after a blood test about two weeks earlier, and that Prince Harry would have symptoms for at least six weeks, which his friends and brother teased him about.

“The article is accurate in that I was diagnosed with glandular fever, but no one except my family knew about it. I didn’t tell anyone because I was embarrassed to stick my head out.. This is one of those infections that causes a huge stigma in adolescence. After the article was published, everyone knew about it. I became a laughingstock at school, I felt miserable. I do not believe that the Palace made this information public. They made me look irresponsible or recklessPrince Harry testified.

Prince Harry was interrogated for almost 5 hours by Andrew Green, a lawyer for the MGN group. Harry said the press had blood on his hands, ruined his youth, ruined his friendships and romances, and sowed paranoia and mistrust since 1996 when he was still a student.

“I have experienced hostility from the press since the day I was born”Prince Harry testified, calling the media’s behavior towards him and his mother “deplorable”.

MGN Group denies the allegations, and the legal department is asking for the charges to be dropped because many years have passed since the alleged crimes.

However, it should be noted that in the past the group in question admitted to wiretapping, for which they even paid £100 million in compensation to their victims..

The lawsuit is expected to last several weeks, with two other similar cases pending against the Daily Mail and the Sun newspapers, against which Prince Harry has also filed wiretapping lawsuits.
