What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands was started in 2018 by Matthew Rosen (former Ryzing lead developer) and Jesse Reich (Badische Anilin-und-Soda-Fabrik, former BASF employees). The game launched on Hive and closed a $3.6 million fundraiser in July 2021.
Splinterlands relies on two types of tokens. One is SPS, a BSC management token, and DEC, Dark Energy Crystals, the Splinterlands currency used to purchase in-game assets.

Splinterlands players can buy and collect their cards (NFT) and make different combinations to play with others. The gameplay offered by this game is similar to that of Hearthstone.
