Latvian basketball player Dāvis Bertāns scored five points as he celebrated the Dallas “Mavericks” victory in the National Basketball Association (NBA) game on Saturday.
The Dallas people won 127:117 (34:15, 29:31, 34:35, 30:36) at home against the New Orleans “Pelicans”, who played without several prominent basketball players.
Bertan played 12 minutes and 50 seconds and scored on both pitches, one twice and the other three. Rūjieniėš also made two assists, one mistake and one note. The Mavericks scored as many points as they allowed on the court with Bertan.
In the standings, Luka Doncic had 34 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for his ninth triple-double of the season. The Slovenian player also received the tenth technical rating of the season.
Christian Wood, who scored 28 points, also played efficiently for the home team.
The most productive player in the “Pelicans” team with 25 points and 10 from under the basket was Lithuanian Jons Valančuns, whose participation in the match was under the question mark. Naji Marshall scored 24 points.
None of the team’s three most prolific players – Zaion Williamson, Brandon Ingram and Christian James McCollum – played for the guests.
The “Mavericks” are fourth in the Western Conference with 23 wins in 40 games, while the “Pelicans” are ahead with 24 wins in 40 games.
Dallasites will visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
