The facts date from last summer. The fighter was reported by a 42-year-old woman, her compatriot, who allegedly formalized everything in Dublin. Initially, the case was closed a few months ago because the woman had not lodged any complaints with the Guardia Civil of Formentera. Except in a bikini and with only one pair of ankle boots, with a great desire to go back to the hotel and then to Ireland.
But when she got home, the 42-year-old lodged a complaint with the police station. The two have known each other long before McGregor became an MMA champion, having grown up in the same Dublin neighbourhood.
In her testimony, the woman said she had been to the Ocean Beach Club in Ibiza on July 16, with a friend and with a Hungarian couple we met on that holiday. She decided to go there because she knew that there McGregor’s birthday party – whose birthday is on July 14 – would have been held in that room, in the VIP area. The Red Cross saved her and returned to Earth. And the Guardia Civil denied it was him and reiterated that he wanted to go home. Now the Ibiza court has reopened the procedure after receiving the complaint from Dublin: witnesses will be heard in both Spain (criminal proceedings initiated) and Ireland (civil proceedings). to understand the dynamics of the facts and establish the responsibilities of whoever was on the yacht that July evening, including McGregor. It’s not the first time the fighter has run into trouble.
