Salamanca basketball players lost to Madrid’s “Estudiantes” team with 72:78 (25:23, 15:19, 20:20, 12:16).
Having spent 9 minutes and 9 seconds on the field, Gülbe reached her goal by shooting one-by-two and three-pointers. The Latvian also took two rebounds, two fouls, one driving foul, one point, five PPR and a negative +/- indicator (-4).
Bridget Carlton and Maria Fasula scored 16 and 15 points each, while Becky Massey was the top scorer with 16 points.
It was reported that Paula Strautmane scored five points on Saturday, and that “Cadi La Seu” from Laseva Durželas, whom she represented, defeated “Lointek” from Guernica with a score of 68:58.
“Perfumerias Avenida” is in second place in the tournament table with 21 wins in 27 matches, while “Cadi La Seu” is in sixth place with a balance of 14-13.
Last season, “Perfumerias Avenida” from Salamanca became the champion, which also won the Queen’s Cup.
