The court announced the release of Catholic priest Krišjānis Dambergs, who was on trial for possible sexual violence against a child.
Damberg’s bail was changed and he was released from custody. It is forbidden to approach certain people.

Last summer, Radio Latvijas reported that the former pastor of the Talsi Baptist Church, who a few years ago was also the head of the social work day center in the Talsi area, may have been arrested on suspicion of a sexual offense in the Talsi area.
