The municipality of Jelgava has awarded Renārs Krastenberg and Dan Ločmel from the Latvian national hockey team Jelgava in cash – 2,000 euros for each hockey player, the LETA agency learned from the municipality.
Krastenberg participated in seven games at the World Championship and spent 70 minutes and 26 seconds on the ice. He took seven shots into the opponent’s goal.
This was Lochmel’s first game as part of the hockey team in the World Hockey Championship, he participated in nine games, spent 67 minutes and three seconds on the ice, scored two goals and had an assist.
The Latvian hockey team also included Jelgava HK “Zemgale/LBTU” and Jelgava Ice Sports School head coach Artis Ābols, video trainer Pēteris Groms, equipment manager Andis Leitis and doctor Agnis Otvars, and former Jelgava Ice Sports School student Kārlis Čukste from Riga. .
