A man from Sevastopol took pictures of schools, transport stops and damaged objects. He caught the attention of the police with the application, where he sent the correct geolocation information.

A man in the Chernihiv region transmitted information about infrastructure and civilian facilities to the Russian military using an application on his smartphone. This was reported on Facebook by the Patrol Police of the Chernihiv region.

The principal of one of the Chernihiv secondary schools contacted the police. He saw an unidentified man photographing the building and shelter on campus. A patrol police team was immediately sent to the specified address, the man was immediately detained.

Police learned that he was a 49-year-old native of Sevastopol, moved to Chernihiv in 2016 and received the status of an internally displaced person. The man could not explain what he was doing on the territory of the educational institution. He was immediately taken to the Chernihiv regional police department, where SBU officers came.

One of the applications installed on the prisoner’s smartphone raised questions from the patrol officers. The algorithm of his work is as follows – first certain objects are photographed, then addresses and the exact geographical location are indicated.

The user thus completes tasks and receives money. The police noted that this application is included in the list of software from which the enemy receives intelligence information. The Security Service of Ukraine has repeatedly informed about this dangerous software for mobile devices.

One of the Telegram channels noted that the invaders created an application specifically for Android devices and uploaded it to PlayMarket. Practices suggest repairing transport stops, schools, secure facilities, and any damaged buildings. Payment for the completed task takes place in Tether (USDT) cryptocurrency.

The program is similar in principle to the Foap application. It is called a full-fledged platform for buying / selling photos. When uploading photos, Foap prompts users to link a Facebook account to the app, but this step can be skipped.

Field Agent also allows you to send photos from your phone and earn money from it. The developers call the app a platform for “field supervisors”. The Field Agent system works on the principle of tasks in the photo and mandatory geolocation tags.

Yandex has created the Toloka application for those who want to earn money by completing tasks on the Internet. Tasks include comparing images, pages, search results, field assignments, and searching for information on the Internet.

The detainee told the police that he was using the program to make extra money. He photographed public transport stops and other objects, as well as the school. Already received payment for some of the information provided.

Focus was unable to identify the Apps used by the detainee.

Recall that in the “Air Raid” application there are new warnings about chemical and radiation hazards. Updates are available to iOS, Android and Huawei users.
