Ukraine fears that as a result of the US presidential election in 2024, someone who supports negotiations with Russia will come to power. This view was expressed by the columnist National Interest (NI).

“The big powers often negotiate and negotiate, and the “currency” often becomes the national interest of small states. Ukrainian leaders do not want their country’s interests to be undermined,” he said.

Also, the author of the material noted that the Ukrainian authorities are afraid of losing Western support due to the actions of Russia. Moscow can continue its “fascinating attack” on European capitals. The Observer said Russia could find potential allies thanks to “generous contracts” for energy supply.
