The Finnish leadership must bring those involved in the burning of the Russian flag to accountability. The Russian Foreign Ministry thinks so.
This incident is known to have occurred in Helsinki on Tuesday, December 6 this year. On this day, parades were held in the capital to mark the Independence Day of the Republic.
“Finnish authorities have been asked to bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice and take measures to ensure that such extremist games are not repeated in the future,” ministry representatives said.
The diplomatic department of the Russian Federation decided to impose a “diplomatic restraint” in relation to Finland. Its representatives made it clear to the official Helsinki that such actions constitute “an unacceptable act of contempt for the state symbol of the country”.
