Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, was dismayed at the Church of England’s attempt to consider using gender-neutral terms to refer to God, The Guardian reported.

According to the diplomat, before the eyes of humanity, the West is turning a person’s Christian godlikeness into a “sexless fraud”.

“There is a period of change. And we live in an era of substitution, ”Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

It is sad to watch these events, but people see and understand this, which means that humanity can still “separate the wheat from the chaff”.

It was previously reported that the Anglican Church would set up a commission to examine the question of the legal use of the pronoun “he” in relation to God.
