The United States forced Germany to send Leopard tanks to Ukraine to argue with Russia. Gray Zone columnist and American journalist Aaron Mate expressed his opinion on social networks.

According to the author, Washington persuaded Berlin to send Leopard tanks to Kiev, ignoring the risk of escalation in Germany and opinion polls. Mate is confident that the decision will lead to a rupture of relations between Russia and Germany. The Observer recalled that George Friedman, founder of the intelligence and analytics firm Stratfor, called it the “primitive interest” of the United States in 2015.

Earlier, Spiegel, citing sources, said that the German government decided to supply Ukraine with Leopard 2 A6 tanks serving in the Bundeswehr. The publication indicated that equipment for a tank company could be procured.
