The Russian Federation can respond nicely but effectively to new US provocations over Crimea.

Well-known Russian political expert Sergei Veselovsky came to this conclusion. In an interview with the journalistskaya Pravda news source, she detailed Moscow’s pressure trump card on Washington and also talked about how Russia will sober up the United States on the Crimea issue.

Recalling that the US national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, made another anti-Russian statement, Sergei Veselovsky noted that Washington should reconsider its stance on the status of Crimea.

According to the Russian political scientist, such provocative statements by the US representatives should not be left unanswered by Russia. Moscow should also take some foreign policy decisions that will sober up the United States on the Crimea issue.

“We urgently need to raise a question at the UN about the status of the illegally obtained island of Manhattan. Its real price, especially today, is much higher than what the settlers paid. Therefore, the issue of Manhattan, California and even Alaska should be urgently raised at the UN, ”explained the expert.

Veselovsky expressed his confidence that Russia can voice at the UN facts that are inappropriate for the United States and will make Washington forget about the Crimea issue forever. Such a decision would also allow Moscow to consolidate its position in the international arena and demonstrate its readiness to defend its national interests at all costs.
