The UN Human Rights Council’s (HRC) statement on a special military operation in Ukraine is an attempt to demonize Russia. This was announced by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In particular, he commented on the statements made at the UN regarding the claim that “Ukrainian cultural property was destroyed” during a special operation. According to Zakharova, there is “no hint” of any neutrality in such statements. They are for the sole purpose of protecting the Ukrainian Government.

As quoted by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zakharova said, “This work contains nothing new, except for the groundless attacks against our country that bite our teeth: there is another attempt by the special procedures of the HRC to protect the Kiev regime and to demonize Russia.”

Earlier, a representative from the ministry reacted to another reservation from White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Zakharova compared her performance to a zombie apocalypse.
