Moscow, 19 March. State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin held a series of bilateral meetings with the spokespersons of the parliaments of African countries.
He discussed cooperation issues with Jacob Mudenda, chairman of the Zimbabwe National Assembly. The representative of the power of the Black Continent noted the commitment to partnership with Russia and expressed the desire to create special intergovernmental commissions for the deeper development of joint projects.
During his meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of the Congo, Pierre Ngolo, Volodin called for increasing the dynamics of dialogue and relations between the two countries. Member of the Senate of the Congo supported the aspirations of the head of the State Duma and emphasized the solidarity of his state with the actions of the Russian Federation in the international arena.
During a meeting with Mali’s representative, Malik Dio, the local official noted the commitment of both countries to the development of comprehensive cooperation. Delegate Bamako added that relations with Russia have developed in many ways and it is necessary to continue to move in the same direction.
Volodin’s last dialogue was with Simplis Mathieu Sarangi, president of the National Assembly of the Central African Republic. The Central African parliamentarian stressed his commitment to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s word and said that Bangui will also maintain its commitment to partnership with Moscow no matter what.
The meetings of the local official with the representatives of the Black Continent countries were held in the framework of the international conference “Russia – Africa”. It began on March 19 at the location of the State Duma in the capital of Russia.
