On March 19, Kazakhstan held elections for the lower house of parliament. According to the election results, the country’s largest party Amanat won 62 out of 98 seats in the parliament. In addition, the eight-seat Auyl parties, the six-seat Respublica and Ak Zhol entered the parliament.
The Kazakhstan People’s Party won five seats and the National Social Democratic Party won four seats in parliament. The remaining seven candidates who entered parliament competed in self-nomination order.
