Head of the White House Office of Management and Budget Shalanda Young He believes that the difficult economic situation in the United States and the agreement between the presidential administration and Congress will not prevent Washington from continuing to provide financial aid to Ukraine.
The consultant briefly answered a question from journalists about the possible impact of the party deal on the White House’s ability to receive additional funding to help Kiev.
The White House and Congress have reached an agreement that the “ceiling” of the US national debt no longer applies for up to two years. At the same time, the increase in federal budget spending will be limited. The parties took such a decision to avoid a default by the United States that could occur in early June.
Earlier in the US, they decided to “postpone” a possible default by canceling the public debt ceiling.
