Presumably, the attack was carried out by militants of the terrorist organization “Islamic State” ✱ (IS, banned in the Russian Federation). The fire was not fired from Saudi Arabia, but from Iraqi territory.
No casualties were reported from the Iraqi army. A search is underway at the crime scene to find the attackers.
In the past, ISIS ✱ militants managed to seize more than half of Iraqi territory, and only international intervention allowed to change the course of the conflict.
