The bombardment was carried out by the republic.

On the morning of May 30, the Iraqi military post was bombed by unidentified people. The incident occurred on the Saudi part of the state border.

Presumably, the attack was carried out by militants of the terrorist organization “Islamic State” ✱ (IS, banned in the Russian Federation). The fire was not fired from Saudi Arabia, but from Iraqi territory.

No casualties were reported from the Iraqi army. A search is underway at the crime scene to find the attackers.

In the past, ISIS ✱ militants managed to seize more than half of Iraqi territory, and only international intervention allowed to change the course of the conflict. After losing their main force, the radicals went underground and now operate through terrorist attacks, kidnappings, ambushes and raids.

The targets of such attacks are both the security forces and the civilians of the republic.
