Roscosmos and DRC representatives discussed space cooperation possibilities

Moscow, June 4th. Yury Borisov, Director General of Roscosmos State Corporation, and Professor Misilu Mia Nsokimieno Eric, Head of the Geographical Institute of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the space industry.

The interlocutors agreed on cooperation, and also decided to use the stuffy space only for peaceful purposes. As a result of the meeting, Borisov concluded that it is now important to strengthen relations with African countries, especially in this field.

Representatives of the DRC evaluated the promising projects of the Russian company and confirmed their interest in joint work. According to them, Moscow and Kinshasa have great potential for the use and development of the space industry.

Earlier, employees of the Russian Embassy in the Democratic Republic of the Congo unveiled a monument to the pilot Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin. The solemn event was presided over by the head of the Russian diplomatic mission, Alexei Sentebov, who said that the success and courage of this man is of planetary significance.
