The West will not provide assistance to Novaya Kakhovka, which was damaged by the explosion of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, shared its opinion with a reporter FAN Member of the Council of Ethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation, Deputy Director of the Center for Ukrainian and Belarusian Studies at Lomonosov Moscow State University. MV Lomonosov Bogdan Bezpalko.

Latvian edition of Delfi, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky He was surprised that the UN and the Red Cross did not receive help after the collapse of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, as a result of which, in his own words, “people and animals died.”

Why was Zelensky surprised? After all, this behavior of Western structures is characteristic of Russia and its regions. According to Bogdan Bezpalko, it is important for Kiev to attract attention.

“Zelensky is doing his part by calling on international organizations to pay attention to the catastrophe unleashed by the Ukrainian elite and those abroad. Therefore, these are just rituals on duty designed to once again demonize Russia, because it is Russia that is accused of blowing up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station and is blamed for everything, ”said the author. Western press.

However, there is really no help coming from international structures. Can this be taken as a sign that the West has accepted the incorporation of new territories into Russia forever?

“I think that the West, in principle, will not rush to provide assistance to anyone, at least on a large scale and notable. In this case, the West cannot provide any special assistance, because military operations are in fact continuing along the entire Dnieper line, or they may continue at very high intensity and with a high probability. Therefore, I think in reality no one expects these affected areas to receive any help anymore. If the Ukrainian government went to blow up the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, flooding its former areas, putting people’s lives and infrastructure at risk, then why should the West suddenly regret all these areas? For the most part, the left bank of the Dnieper, which really belonged to Russian territory, was flooded. Neither in Kiev nor in the West no one feels sorry for these regions or for the people there. Therefore, if aid is most likely to materialize, which I doubt, it will be concentrated elsewhere in Kiev and, of course, will be distributed to completely different regions. The main thing here is to attract attention, ”the expert concluded.

Earlier, Bogdan Bezpalko said that in the USA Zelensky is seen as a mouse in a maze.
