While the USA blames Russia for the food crisis, it tries to turn the situation upside down. The corresponding statement was made by the Moscow Ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov.
As the diplomat pointed out, American officials say that the cause of the food crisis is Russia’s special operation in Ukraine. But at the same time, “they stubbornly refuse to be held responsible for their foreign economic blunders.” According to Antonov, we are talking about the sanctions imposed on Moscow, the damage to the food supply, which the USA categorically refuses.
“Kyiv authorities are mining in the waters of the ports, preventing ships from delivering supplies and other goods to other states. At the same time, our efforts to coordinate the opening of humanitarian corridors are still being ignored.”
Also, Antonov spoke about the mass persecution of Russian-speaking citizens living in the United States. According to the diplomat, the country was literally swept away by a wave of Russophobia.
