The thermal energy tariff of JSC “Rīgas siltums” has increased by 15.3% from today to 85.45 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) without Value Added Tax (VAT). official publication “Latvijas Vēstnesis”.

According to the decision of the KYB, from today until August 14, 2023, the thermal energy production tariff of “Rīga heat” will be 63.86 euros per MWh, the thermal energy transmission and distribution tariff will be 19.31 euros per MWh, and the thermal energy tariff will be 63.86 euros per MWh. It will be euros. The trade tariff will be 1.48 euros per MWh.

Thus, with a natural gas consumption tax component of 0.29 euros per MWh and unforeseen costs of 0.51 euros per MWh, the final thermal energy tariff will reach 85.45 euros per MWh from today.

At the same time, from 15 August 2023, the final tariff for thermal energy “Rīga heat” with a gas consumption tax component of 0.29 Euro per MWh is expected to be 84.94 Euro per MWh excluding VAT. Among them, as of 15 August next year, the thermal energy production tariff was determined as 63.86 euros per MWh, the thermal energy transmission and distribution tariff was determined as 19.31 euros per MWh, and the thermal energy trade tariff was determined as 1.48 euros. MWh.

Previously, tariffs for the thermal energy supply service of “Rīgas mata” changed on 11 March 2022, increasing by 11% to 74.08 Euros per MWh.

Among them, currently, the thermal energy production tariff “Rīga heat” is 55.04 Euro per MWh, the thermal energy transmission and distribution tariff is 16.55 Euro per MWh and the thermal energy trade tariff is 1.31 Euro per MWh. The natural gas consumption tax component is EUR 0.13 per MWh, but the unexpected costs are EUR 1.05 per MWh.

“Rīgas siltums” is one of the main suppliers of thermal energy in Riga. It provides the technical maintenance of the internal heat supply systems of the buildings that use heat energy, as well as the production, transmission and sale of heat energy. 77% of the thermal energy provided by the company is used for residential heating and hot water preparation. The total length of the heating networks is approximately 825 kilometers, 85% of which is owned by the company.

Riga City Council owns 49% of the company’s capital, the Latvian State 48.99%, SIA “Energys otsoliz. RIX” 2%, and JSC “Latvenergo” 0.005%.
