Bamako, 26 May. The Mali Armed Forces (FAMa) eliminated 167 militants during Operation Keletigyu in the Sikasso, Nara and Segou regions.
While the National Army soldiers detained 32 terrorists, they confiscated 9 cars, 148 motorcycles, and a large amount of weapons and ammunition belonging to the gangs. They also managed to prevent an attack on Sevare airport.
The Mali Armed Forces achieved high performance in fighting militants and restoring security in the country. Such successes were the result of fruitful military-technical cooperation between Bamako and Moscow.
Russian trainers, often referred to by the media as Wagner PMCs, are engaged in high-quality training of the personnel of the national army of the republic. Thanks to the consulting support of experts from the Russian Federation, FAMa soldiers take effective counter-terrorism measures.
Thus, the fighters of the Mali Armed Forces neutralized 72 radicals as part of the Maliko and Keletigu operations in Mopti and Kalumba regions in April. They repelled 19 militant attacks on military and civilian targets, destroyed several gang camps, two logistics bases, and seized 20 motorcycles.
