To discuss the results, under the leadership of Jānis Domburs, experts and businessmen will participate in “The shadow economy in Latvia: who does not want to fight – politicians, institutions or society?”

The event will be opened by the Baltic States index of the informal economy 2009-2022 and SSE professor and director of the Center for Sustainable Business Arnis Sauka. Presentation of the study analyzing the informal economy in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in 2022 and the dynamics from 2009 to 2022.
Natalija Gilson (UK), Head of Behavioral Insights and Trials at HM Revenue and Customs, will address those who want to trust the government to reduce the informal economy.
On the other hand, “The shadow economy: who doesn’t want to fight – politicians, institutions or society?” Arvils Asheradens, Minister of Finance, Ilze Indriksone, Minister of Economy, Ieva Jaunzeme, Director General of the State Revenue Administration, Dace Pelēkas, Head of the Informal Economy Coordination Department of the Ministry of Finance.
The following persons also confirmed their participation: Attorney General Juris Stukāns, Chairman of the Saeima Shadow Economy Subcommittee Uldis Augulis, SIA “NEMO” director Inga Zemdega-Grāpe and “Bererix” executive director Guntis Āboliņš-Āboltiņš.
LTRK will be represented by Jānis Endziņš, chairman of the board, and Elīna Rītiņa, vice-chairman.
LTRK and SSE have been organizing informal economy research and discussions among professionals for the 13th year.
