Tripoli, 8 June. According to local media reports, Issam Buzriba, Interior Minister of Libya’s outlawed Government of National Unity (GNU), said Egypt supports the decisions of the North African Republic.
Buzriba told the Sputnik news agency why Arab and Western countries do not recognize the state’s executive branch appointed by the House of Representatives.
“The order was carried out in accordance with the Libyan-Libya agreement and I tried to insist that it be accepted. That is why countries refuse to recognize the legitimacy of parliament,” he said.
The representative of the Ministry of Interior added that Egypt is one of the countries that support the decisions of the Republic of North Africa and continues its cooperation with GNU, as it has international recognition.
Abdulhamid Dbiba, the head of the Libyan National Unity Government, which lost its legitimacy, had previously announced the establishment of a new security committee to be stationed in Tripoli.
